23名の難民の方々向けに日本語教育の提供が始まりました！
昨年はクラウドファンディング「【難民と共に生きる】日本に逃れてきた人々に日本語学習の機会を！」に温かなご支援を頂き、誠にありがとうございました。
さて、昨年8月7日から9月3日の間に実施した「LIP-Learning」の2022年度奨学生の公募に、49名の難民背景をもつ方々にご応募いただきました。
その中から書類審査と面接を通じた厳正なる選考を経て、12月より23名の方々に日本語教育の提供を開始しました！
当初の予定より1名追加での支援となりましたが、これは選考基準を満たし日本語教育の緊急性が高いと判断される難民の方々が23名いたため、皆様からご支援いただいたクラウドファンディングの寄付金に、Living in Peaceへのマンスリー寄付者からのご支援も追加することで実現したものです。
今回は23名の2022年度奨学生についてご紹介させていただきます！

＜志望理由・目標＞
・現在介護の仕事をしているが、発音が違うからか、仕事先のおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんに話が通じない。自分が間違ったことを言うのではないか怖くて発言しづらいため、日本語をもっと勉強して仕事でもっと話せるようになりたい。また、子供の教育のためにも日本語が必要と感じている。
目標は来年N2に受かりたい。将来的には、福祉士になるための勉強をして、資格をとりたいと考えている。

・現在は無職で就活中。過去半年で40~50社に申し込んだが、日本語能力が不十分で採用に至らなかったため、就職のために日本語を勉強したい。
日本が好きで将来的には日本で暮らしていきたい。早く社会に溶け込むほど、人生も時間も有効に使える。１日も早く日本語を習得して、家族を養い、残りの人生をすごす国のために尽くしたい。

Japanese language education for 23 refugees has begun!
Thank you very much for your warm support for our crowdfunding project last year, “[Living with Refugees] Opportunities to learn Japanese language for those who have fled to Japan!
49 people with refugee backgrounds applied for the open call for LIP-Learning scholarship recipients for fiscal year 2022, which was held between August 7 and September 3 last year. After a rigorous selection process through document screening and interviews, we have started providing Japanese language education to 23 students in December!
We were able to support one more person than originally planned because there were 23 refugees who met the selection criteria and were deemed to be in urgent need of Japanese language education, and this was made possible by adding the support of monthly donors to the crowdfunding donations.
We introduce to you our 23 scholarship recipients for the class of 2022!

＜Reasons for applying and goals>
I am currently working as a caregiver, but I have trouble communicating with the old men and women because of the difference in pronunciation. I am afraid to speak up because I am afraid that I might say something wrong, so I would like to learn more Japanese so that I can speak it better at work. I also feel that Japanese is necessary for my child’s education.
My goal is to pass the N2 exam next year. In the future, I would like to study to become a welfare worker and obtain a certification.

I am currently unemployed and job hunting. In the past 6 months, I have applied to 40~50 companies but failed to get hired due to insufficient Japanese language skills, so I would like to study Japanese in order to find a job.
I like Japan and would like to live in Japan in the future. I want to learn Japanese as soon as possible so that I can support my family and do my best for the country where I will spend the rest of my life.
